Received a BM in Musical Arts (Summa Cum Laude, Highest Honors in Music Literature & History) from Vanderbilt University. Now a recovering classical pianist and violist.

Research Interests: minor league and collegiate baseball, community identity and fan communities; popular music and music tourism, sound studies; race and ethnicity, gender; Southern studies, digital humanities, archives
